Lou Squitieri PTA, LMT, founded Movement Innovations, Inc  in 1990; he is an advanced bodywork therapist, and has completed trainings in:

Lou specializes in complex conditions for which clients have sought other therapies and have had unsatisfactory results. He uses a multi-faceted approach that addresses the whole  Person. His goal is not only to help people heal, but to teach the client to become there own therapist.

 

In addition to bodywork, Lou is an expert movement therapist. Enhancing movement patterns are an integral part of the effectiveness of the bodywork system he uses. Movement work is a part of every session. 

Because of his expertise, some clients come solely for Performance enhancement.  They wish to run faster, swing a golf club more accurately, or play a musical instrument better.


About Lou:

Lou first entered the healthcare system doing physical therapy at St. David’s Hospital, Austin, TX; there, he specialized in Manual therapy and had many physician referrals for his bodywork.  He  trained in Aston-Patterning® in Incline Village, NV with Judith Aston, completed all advanced coursework and is a Certified Aston-Patterning® Practitioner.  He also studied Cranial Sacral therapy with the Upledger Institute. Through  he Barral institute, he studied Visceral Manipulation, Neuro Manipulation, and New Manual Articular Approach, aka “soft osteopathy. Over the Past 3 decades, he has trained with John Barnes completing advanced courses in Myofascial Release and is considered an Expert level Myofascial therapist; He is a Level 3 medical certified Fascial stretch therapist with its innovators at Stretch to Win.


Lou has more than 34 years of bodywork experience and expertise.  This has given him the tools to give clients just what they need for their healing as, often, it is many aspects of the body that contribute to pain and disease.
